The Photos menu, accessed through the Vehicle Inventory menu, allows the user to uploaded and manage up to 99 photos per vehicle. The Photos window can also be accessed by hovering over the Vehicle link or from the photos pop up on the vehicles page.
Photos uploaded in Inventory will append to stock images or other existing photos.
If you are going to add actual photos to a vehicle with stock photos in Inventory it is best to remove the stock images first. After removing stock images make sure to hit Save before clicking Upload to add actual photos. Refer to the Delete Vehicle Photos article for more information.
Photos will be sent out in the order you see the on the Photo page. If the photos are not in the order you want them in you can change this under the Reorder page. To reorganize your images simply click the image want to move and drag it into the correct position. Refer to the Reorder Vehicle Photos article for more information.
VIN Cameras
You do not have to use a VIN Camera to take images. VIN Cameras may be helpful for naming images for you for batch uploads. Renaming can also be done manually in Windows or with other software.
Photo Suggestions
| • | If you have stock images it is best to remove the stock images before loading actual images, otherwise the images will append to (show up after) the stock images. |
| • | Images need to be taken in a 4x3 aspect ratio. |
| • | The largest photo size acceptable is 1024x760. |
| • | Our standard size images for most third parties post is 640x480. |
| • | Overlays are only applied on the 640x480 and smaller sized images so they can be removed if needed in the future when uploaded by the dealer in Dominion Inventory Solutions. |
| • | Renaming the file is only important for batch uploads. If uploading one car at a time for a vehicle it is not required to rename the files. Refer to Add Multiple Vehicle Photos for more information. |
| • | Images will go out in data feeds in the order you see them. If you want to change the order simply drag and drop your images into the desired order in the Reorder tab. |
| • | Always remember to click on Save when making any changes any changes must be saved for them to be applied. |
